terms of service
last updated: 2026-05-26
These terms govern your use of the otsora web app at otsora.com and the otsora iOS app (together, "otsora"). By using either, you agree to these terms.
the service
otsora reads OTDR .sor fiber-optic diagnostic files. The free viewer parses single traces; the paid tier ("cable pro") parses every core of a cable and ranks repair locations.
accounts (web)
To subscribe or use the cable analyzer on the web, you sign in with Google. You are responsible for your account.

on the web

diagnostic guidance, not certified measurement
otsora provides diagnostic guidance, not a certified measurement. The trace, key events, attenuation, splice loss and Good/Caution/Bad verdict shown are computed automatically from your .sorfile and may not match your OTDR vendor's certified output. You are responsible for verifying any result you rely on. otsora is not a replacement for a calibrated measurement performed by a qualified technician.
third-party attribution
.sor parsing in the iOS app uses the otdrs Rust crate, licensed under LGPL-3.0, maintained at github.com/JamesHarrison/otdrs. The library's source is available at that repository. Any modifications we make to otdrs are available on request via [email protected].
governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Indonesia.
changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. The date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected in the app and on otsora.com.
